(I am observing a 2 minutes’ silence. Its not because we lost, but because it was a spineless performance, once again )

It seriously showed how hollow our technique is. Batsmen score runs on flat tracks and fail miserably if the there is a lil seam and pace on pitches helpful for pace bowling. Sachin has been a big and a BIG disappointment. Our bowlers what can i say, i never figured out what all the pacers were doing, holding the ball, releasing it and expecting to get SWING from the old ball. In the process, bowling medium pace bowls to the batsmen and the rest is history. Has there ever been another example, where the team bowling first got 3 wickets for no run and lost the match by a 300+ run margi? I dont think so.

I doubt about our chances in ODI series too. I hate to say this but Pakis look favorites for the 2007 world cup

2007 World Cup is a bit too far fetched! Pakis are peaking at the wrong time (I am being hopeful!)

As for One days, India will not do too badly simple because once again they will all be on flat pitches and batting heavens  But I don’t think I will waste too much time watching them, although I have a TV in my cabin right in front of me at office :x

Tendulkar has been hailed as a failure after the test series. Don’t forget, he has been at the receiving end on at least 3 occassions in the entire series. Once again in first ODI he was undone by a bad umpiring decision. If he would have lasted little longer, things would have been totally different. He was about to change gears.

Anyway, for the record, my city Mumbai is the only city in the world with 3 grounds where Test Match Cricket has been played. :) The 3 grounds are:

    • Bombay Gymkhana Ground (private gorund, now used for Rugby matches)
    • Brabourne Stadium (owned by CCI, Cricket Club of India); and
    • Wankhede Stadium (owned by MCA, Mumbai Cricket Association)
