I am going to Chennai for the BlogCamp on 8th September. Me and my wife planned out a small holiday alongwith it, since she has some relatives there. We all wanted to fly because Mahi-Meha are too young to travel such a long distance by train. But recent fear of terrorist attacks and new rules of flying without carrying any liquids robbed us of this opportunity
Mahi-Meha need something to eat/drink every 2-3 hours. We need to carry their feed and bottles of milk everywhere. We inquired with a friend working in Jet Airways. She said, baby food is allowed. But we again called Jet’s security section to be completely sure and they said no liquids are allowed.
I called up the office of GoAir and they confirmed that no liquids are allowed. So ultimately we had to cancel the plan of a small holiday and M2 lost their first opportunity to fly!

Secondly, they still drink only boiled water because they have been weak since birth and still haven’t developed good enough resistence power! I don’t trust the water that we get on flight. Additionally, they drink milk thats mixed with water to make it lighter to suit their digestive powers. There are too many customisations done to suit their health. Twins are usually born weak because all resources gets divided. Touch-wood! So far they have done pretty well
So we really need to carry things to ensure their safety and health. If we are not allowed, we don’t travel

Anyway, wishing M2 good health!

I was lucky to be allowed with them.. Since it was a baby item. Anyway - the lady at the security gate was nice, and she advised to carry a prescription the next time.
Anyway, I think that they should check and allow baby items. Esp, milk and water. Com’n! The method of restricting everyone to stop terrorism might become terrorism itself one day.

But what is the value of a prescription? They can be “bought” so easily! I am waiting for security agencies to come up with better options.
