My kids’ school makes them do all sorts of different things in homework. One such recent work was a small journal on LEAVES. Rest of the things were well done and in place as my kids and their mom, unlike me, are pretty good in drawing and craft, except the last thing that stumped us all for a while.
This particular page was reserved for an acrostic poem on leaves. The usual online search went on for a while without any decent result. Only option left was to write something new. I came up with this little poem which I share here with a hope that someday someone will stumble upon this for their kid’s homework. Their search won’t be as unsuccessful as mine.

One day a teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name. Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down. It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers. That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about that individual.
On Monday she gave each student his or her list. Before long, the entire class was smiling. ‘Really?’ she heard whispered. ‘I never knew that I meant anything to anyone!’ and, ‘I didn’t know others liked me so much,’ were most of the comments. No one ever mentioned those papers in class again. She never knew if they discussed them after class or with their parents, but it didn’t matter. The exercise had accomplished its purpose. The students were happy with themselves and one another. That group of students moved on.

I received this article in email from a friend. This is written by a Pakistani Columnist. I would like to believe that there are a lot of people in Pakistan that are embarrassed by what their government and rogue spy agency – ISI – does with India and world at large.

Advice from an Israeli Agent, applies equally to us…..
Juval Aviv was the Israeli Agent upon whom the movie ‘Munich’ was based. He was Golda Meir’s bodyguard, and she appointed him to track down and bring to justice the Palestinian terrorists who took the Israeli athletes hostage and killed them during the Munich Olympic Games.
In a lecture in New York City he shared information that EVERY American needs to know – but that our government has not yet shared with us.
He predicted the London subway bombing on the Bill O’Reilly show on Fox News stating publicly that it would happen within a week. At the time, O’Reilly laughed, and mocked him saying that in a week he wanted him back on the show. Unfortunately, within a week the terrorist attack had occurred.
Juval Aviv gave intelligence (via what he had gathered in Israel and the Middle East) to the Bush Administration about 9/11, a month before it occurred. His report specifically said they would use planes as bombs and target high profile buildings and monuments. Congress has since hired him as a security consultant.
Now for his future predictions. He predicts the next terrorist attack on the U.S. will occur within the next few months.

Its been pretty long since I have blogged. A friend asked me recently, “Why have a blog at all if you don’t post regularly?”. Hmm. Looked a valid point at first. But then I thought, why NOT have a blog even if I don’t update it regularly? How does it matter? In any case, I call it INTERMITTENT chatter.
But this question led me on a path of mini-introspection. Why did I start a blog in the first place and why don’t I blog regularly?
Answers to first question are pretty simple. There were two reasons to start the blog. First, I had a domain name which was unused for quite some time and second, I wanted to understand WordPress so that I can help my clients in troubleshooting their blogs.
The second question is somewhat more complex and I asked myself some more questions to get a real answer.

Meha, Heena & Mahi
18th May! 4 years ago on this day my life could have gone for a toss. But the great Almighty had far better plans for me.
Mahi & Meha were born on this day and their mom / my wife Heena was re-born after a fight with death for over 8 hours.
I wish a very very very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my M3 – Mahi-Meha and their Mom. All three of them are now 4 years old.
Heena, I fight with you a lot and also get on your nerves at times (or is it “at most times”?).
M2, I scold you both, not a lot, but quite a bit. (But don’t blame me for that! Behave yourselves! 😈 )
But without you three, my M3 – my life would be ………
I just can’t imagine that!!
I generally delete the forwards without even downloading or reading them. But a mail landed in my mailbox from a client who NEVER forwards me mails. I thought it must be something worthy and read the mail. I am glad I read it!
Here it is …..

After M2 (Mahi-Meha) and M3rd (their Mom), here’s M4th of my life – Musical instrument.
My last keyboard was acquired way back in 1987 for 6,000/- I enjoyed it for almost 10 years. I still have that keyboard. But some keys are broken, some controls are mal-functioning, tones and styles (rhythms) have started sounding funny. In short, I stopped enjoying it long back.
I had decided that I will not make any compromises. I will wait and wait and wait, but will take the best! I waited for over 10 years for a right opportunity, but at last bought this black beauty – Yamaha PSR S 550 B keyboard 😎 It costed 40k. But I know its definitely worth it!

My long-time buddy Sumit forwarded me a mail.
I always believed that one can’t trust US of A. This mail has confirmed my belief. Have patience and read through it. Although it isn’t as well written as one would like, it’s thought-provoking nonetheless!
Without more jabber here’s the mail.
