Website owners – BEWARE!

A client recently got an email, apparently coming in from Manas Hosting asking for “…. all ur domain names, controlpanel url, login ID paswd of ur domains + secret key / authentication code ….“.

The client is in the process of transferring his domain name and hosting to my Website Solutions firm viz. CREAIMA (formerly mailnspace) and therefore called me up to inquire about this mail. Fortunately, he isn’t naive to fall for this trick. But this is just to warn all those who own domain names and/or websites. BEWARE! Do not fall for such tricks.

Here’s the full text of the mail – VERBATIM. Check out the spellings and grammer. 😀 I wanted to preserve the formatting (and colour combination) of the mail as well. But it was would spoil the decency of my blog. I therefore resisted the temptation. 🙂

Buck up guys! People are getting more net-savvy! Such tricks no longer work.

There is one very objectionable thing that I noticed at a few forums. Whenever there is a thread with negative reviews of this hosting company, there is always some posts by newly registered users that praise their services! Do they think most people are idiots? I will not be surprised if I find such comments on this post as well! 🙄

While on the subject, here are some of the negative reviews/opinions on Manas Hosting that I could find in 15 minutes of googling.

  4. one of the worse service which you can expect from is Manashosting. never ever think of getting their service. Support staff is so rude and they never care your problem.

    I have purchased hosting space from them but still i haven’t received control panel and FTP details. If you call the customer care, they will never answer your questions but acts as a catalyst to increase your frustration and suddenly they will disconnect the call.

    Please ever never go this company for any service. They sucks all time!
    Am regretting for the decision which i made to buy a host space from manashosting.

    I was looking for good hosting company, i got a call from Manashosting and was doubt on the services of Manashosting, so went through reviews i was really scared, but i took a 7 days trial and i was satisfied so then i went for the package and getting good service.
    I have been to manashosting from 6months, i am getting a good support, they might be bad reviews but myself i am satisfied with the service, starting even i was also facing problems but now they have improved there services. Might be there are some things to be improved but right now they are giving good service, Just you can go for 7days trial.
    Hey one more thing i am not from Manashosting, just posted so that you can go for it, just on top i have seen url’s ya its similar even i was shocked, but now my site everything is working fine so no need to bother about reviews, if you lik to go for you can just go for Manashosting

    Or is this just another ghost-post from the company? At the time of posting, I had said I will not be surprised if there are some pro-manas comments here by one-off visitors!

  22. I have seen in website bad about manashosting but it is good.. It provides packages at cheaper rates with good services.. With more advantage we r getting in lesser price.. The service is awesome.. Go for manashosting.. This is my view as i m getting good support and service..

    ** I 100% agree with you. These comments are always posted by the manashosting people. Even I get comments on my blog but I know they are posted by themselves as they have a pattern 😀 It is very easy to find that the comments are real or posted by these sucking people.
